From May 28 - 31, 2005, the European AES Pro Audio Expo & Convention will be held in the Catalan Capital Barcelona - the first time in Spain in the history of the AES! - Roger Furness, executive director of the AES, has just introduced the organizing committee for the upcoming event.

Held in the brand new CCIB (Centre Convencions International Barcelona) located near Barcelona’s amazing seafront, the convention will fill its exhibition halls and meeting rooms. As digital audio in live sound is currently one of the hottest topics discussed in Spain, visitors will benefit from the latest news on this issue provided by both Spanish and International experts. Technical Tours will lead to the places of most interest for audio engineers in the Barcelona area, such as the Opera House or the giant football stadium of the FC Barcelona.
