Given the advantages of storing big amounts of data in our computers, these machines are becoming our multimedia storage centers. This means that all multimedia data is stored and can be accessed only from one place of our house. But are computers the best device to perform the task of managing and consulting all of our multimedia contents? I propose to use a computer-based device where the output and input of the system are at the same place. This device allows us to manipulate the information directly and the multimedia content becomes tangible.

Due to the fact that I haven't had enough time to develop a system for all types of multimedia contents, this thesis will focus only on audio contents, concretely in manage & sorting play-lists and playing the songs.
