Participation at a Dagstuhl seminar in Multimodal Music Processing

31.01.2011

Emilia Gómez was invited to participate at a focused Dagstuhl seminar in Multimodal Music Processing, organized by Masataka Goto, Simon Dixon and Meinard Müller, seminar that took place in Dagstuhl (Germany) from the 23rd to the 28th of January 2011.

The Dagstuhl seminar in Multimodal Music Processing gathered a group of researchers from different areas in music technology.  Participants discussed and studied various aspects of multimodal music analysis to advance the development of techniques and tools for organizing, structuring, retrieving, navigating, and presenting music-related data. Here, key issues concern the development of methods for analyzing, correlating, and annotating the available multimodal material, thus identifying and establishing semantic relationships across various music representations and formats.

Preliminary abstracts are available on the seminar web page and the final abstracts and working group results will be added also there.
